Denver's Regional Transportation District (RTD) awarded a unique Design-Build-Finance-Operation-Maintenance contract to the Denver Transit Partners consortium for rail lines to the Denver International Airport and other areas. The design and construction costs came in just over $2 billion. Denver Transit Partners will operate and maintain the lines for 40 years.
