Mike Purdy's Public Contracting Blog: Design-Build Projects between $2 and $10 Million

RCW 39.10.250 (4) and RCW 39.10.300 (5) provide that the State of Washington's Project Review Committee (PRC) may approve no more than ten Design-Build projects between $2 million and $10 million.

To date, the PRC has approved applications for the following projects falling within these dollar thresholds:

University of Washington: Harborview Medical Center, Harborview Hall Demolition Project. $5,300,000. Approved on May 27, 2010.

Washington State University: WSU Pullman Visitors' Center. $2,500,000. Approved March 22, 2012.

Washington State University: Nevada Street Pedestrian Bridge Replacement. $3,500,000. Approved January 24, 2013.

City of Everett: Reservoir 6 Roof Replacement. $4,950,000. Approved January 24, 2013.

Outside of these ten projects between $2 million and $10 million, a Design-Build project must be over $10 million.
