A bill has been introduced into the Washington State Legislature (House Bill 1196) that would increase the dollar thresholds for use of the Small Works Roster from $200,000 per project to $300,000. The legislation would also increase from $100,000 to $150,000 the amount at which a public agency is required to notify all contractors on the Roster of a bid opportunity. Small Works Rosters are authorized under RCW 39.04.155.
The House Committee on State Government & Tribal Affairs will hold a hearing on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. to hear testimony on this bill and others being recommended by the Capital Projects Advisory Review Board.
