Plan to Exclude Women-Owned Firms from DBE Program
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is moving forward
with a proposal to exclude non-minority women-owned businesses from
Washington's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program goals for
federally-funded contracts.
Ellie Perka, an attorney with Ahlers & Cressman, has written a detailed analysis of the DBE program, the steps leading up to this proposal, and the impacts of implementing the proposal.
